There is basically nothing about the entire purpose, focus and ethos of this show that I do not love. It’s: 1) not actually about the boy savior, but about the woman who makes him into someone who could be a leader—not just the woman who gives birth to him, though that too—but the woman who directly and actively MAKES HIM CAPABLE, or not, without whom he would not be who he is, and the show believes that she is every inch a savior and hero, just as much as her son; 2) not about how she is hurt or damaged and overcomes that damage—though they are all damaged—it is about how she makes herself into what is required, simply because it is required. I don’t know, I just really like it, okay? <3 I still can’t believe how many people watch TSCC and actively try to forget the fact that it’s HER SHOW. I mean c’mon guys, her name is in the title of the program! (And some screencap tumblrs that clearly have an anti-Sarah agenda…*grumblr grumble*)

There is no control, no constant, no shelter but the love of family and the body God gave us, and we can only hope that that will always be enough.
