I think Astrid is really riveted by Olivia Dunham [who is played by Anna Torv]. I think for any woman starting out in her career, Agent Dunham is an exceptional role model. On Fringe, she is juxtaposed with the doctor, who is also brilliant, but was in an institution. I imagine that Astrid is trying to learn the balance of going after what you want in your career without having it be your whole life.

And I think it’s telling that in the show, no matter how vital Astrid is to Walter, Peter, Olivia, and Broyles, and how important her contributions are to solving the cases, Astrid DOES seem to have some kind of life outside the lab. Maybe it’s just fanon speculation, but I think Astrid has found that balance. It’s actually astonishing how well-adjusted she is in the midst of all the craziness. :D

Agreed! And I fear the day when she will lose that innocence and join the rest of the crazies. :/

Olivia: Peter told me, what happened, you know, that he was seeing her. You know, I get it. You saw them together? What was he like with her? He didn’t seem different? You know, happier?Astrid: Olivia…Olivia: I’m sorry, we should go, Broyles wouldn’t have called us in if he didn’t have something…Astrid: Olivia, wait! He thought that she was you.Olivia: Yeah, I understand, it’s fine.Astrid: It’s not fine. Whatever feelings that Peter had, they were not about her. They were about you, and they were real. They still are.Olivia: Thank you, Astrid.

“Thirty-seven people in the intersection, 22 cars, 4 trucks, 2 buses , wind speeds of 5 to 10 miles an hour and that is just to start. But we are talking about 120 variables in a dynamic system of differential equations. I can’t solve that kind of problem, much less manipulate the outcome to my advantage.”She speaks toward them and she’ll look at them, but not when she’s speaking,” Nicole explains. “That’s really funny to play because people get uncomfortable when I’m doing that in a scene. She doesn’t really respond to their facial expressions or what they’re doing. She’s not interested in that. She’s only interested in relaying the information that she has for them.

I just installed Final Draft on my computer and was scanning through their TV Templates. They have a Fringe script template \o/ and it is cracking my shit up!
I wanna see this scene for realsies in the show!
